The holiday of love is less than a few weeks away, so it’s time to get inspired with some sweet Valentine’s Day treat ideas! We here at JumbleJoy put together a self-indulgent spin on it with 3 decadent desserts for whether you’re coupled up, happily single, or not-so-happily single. You still deserve to feel as fabulous as you are.
First, make some pretzel buttons. You will need pretzels, milk and white chocolate kisses, and candy hearts.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper, line up the pretzels. Put a white and chocolate kiss on each pretzel and bake at 200°F for 2 minutes. Then place a heart candy on top of the chocolate kisses, and freeze for 10 minutes.
Next, make heart popcorn. You will need 8 cups of popcorn, 12 ounces of melted chocolate chips, sprinkles, and candy hearts.
Fill a bowl with the popcorn, and then pour in the melted white chocolate. Mix well together then transfer to a parchment covered cookie sheet. Spread on sprinkles and candy hearts.
The last treat is Rice Krispies hearts. To make this delight, you will need 2 tablespoons of butter, red and blue food coloring, 2 cups of Rice Krispies, 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and sprinkles.
Melt the butter and marshmallows in a saucepan. Mix in the food coloring, and then add the rice Krispies. Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet and flatten. Using heart molds, make impressions of hearts and pack the excess Krispies mixture into the molds. Remove the molds and insert skewers.
In a separate bowl, add the powdered sugar, and milk, mixing together. Sprinkle the glaze over the Krispies hearts and then add sprinkles.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
SHARE the love, pass it on.
