4-Year-Old Sings To Mom With Cancer

Warning: This clip will have you bawling.

We always see videos of children doing amazing things on the Internet, but this one is sure to light up your heart. Four-year-old McKenna Stanchak sings to her mother as she battles cancer. Here she is serenading Dianna, 23, with Martina McBride’s tender song “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” to support her.

Dianna has been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma disease for the past two years. Now, the emotional clip has clocked up more than 22.6 million views on Facebook and hundreds of thousands of shares since it was posted by chat show host Ellen DeGeneres on social media.

McKenna’s grandmother, Dee Silvernail, wrote, “I have not seen a smile on my daughter’s face in almost two years. She was diagnosed with Stage 4s Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.” Grandma also says the little song star sings this song to her Mommy every day.

Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system. According to the Mayo Clinic, in Hodgkin’s lymphoma, cells in the lymphatic system grow abnormally and may spread beyond the lymphatic system. As Hodgkin’s lymphoma progresses, it compromises your body’s ability to fight infection.

Mom sure has an incredible support system. We just loved her little one’s performance!

SHARE the love and pass it on.
