Alex Nash is a 5 year-old boy who lives in Portsmouth, England. He was invited to his friends birthday party a few days before Christmas as a local ski resort. He told his parents that he wanted to go so they made the reservation. However, his parents later realized that he was already supposed to spend time with his grandparents so he decided not to go.

They thought this would be the end of it. They were wrong. The parents of the child whose birthday it was, Julie Lawrence, sent the family an invoice for the money that they were put out by the no show! They even threatened to take the family to small claims court if they didn’t pay!

Can you imagine someone being this petty about a child’s birthday? I understand that they were slightly put out but would YOU send invoices if one of your child’s friends couldn’t show up to the party at the last minute?
