Although this marking might seem like an optical illusion, it’s actually a beautiful, natural masterpiece. This horse is the perfect example of nature at its best.
Meet Da Vinci, a chestnut foal born at the Fyling Hall riding school at Robin Hood’s Bay, North Yorkshire. His owner Wendy Bulmer elaborates on his brief history. She explains her riding school was a pony short, so she bought Da Vinci’s mother at a sale. To her unbelievable surprise, the foal was pregnant.
The offspring was Da Vinci. An artistic name for an artistically marked animal. He goes by Vinny for short. Da Vinci has a perfect marking of a white horse on his shoulder. Inconceivable right?

The two-month old foal’s unique patches start on his left front leg, moves up his flank and end on his mane. But that’s not all. Da Vinci has the perfect shape of a white heart on his bottom. If you look closely at the video, you might catch a glance.
As she strokes her prize foal, she explains that the children love Da Vinci. They love to pull and drag him around, and he is especially friendly. Imaginably, you can assume that they are amazed when they see the perfect white shadow of a horse on the horse. Let alone, the heart on his butt.

Chestnut coated horses usually come with unusual markings. However, it is rare to come across a marking that is as recognizable as Da Vinci’s. I would even go as far as to say extremely rare with two perfect markings. Da Vinci is undoubtedly one of a kind. He will be the talk for a very long time to come.
What do you think about Da Vinci? Isn’t he adorable? SHARE the love and pass it on.
