It should be no surprise that orangutans are smart creatures. From videos of orangutans adopting tiger cubs to orangutans performing magic tricks, we’re constantly being proven that these creatures are just like humans!

And these videos just keep getting better and better. Now we have this cute video that showcases the intelligence of the orangutan and its innate parental instinct.

A pregnant woman and her family recently visited Britain’s Colchester Zoo. They stopped by to see Rajang, an orangutan, and as she leaned her belly close to the glass, he did something amazing!

He leaned in and kissed the glass where her tummy was pressed.

Tickled by the reactions of the Rajang, the mommy-to-be did it again, and so did he. It is absolutely beautiful!

The woman’s partner, Jay Clarke, thought he would try to do the same thing with his stomach. Rajang was so not interested. He clearly observed that there was a baby in the stomach of woman and offered his love.

Orangutans are usually known for their solitary nature, so it was pleasantly surprising that Rajang came out to show some love to the mother to be and her unborn.
