Coasters should be a must in every home with wooden tables. They are an excellent source of protection for your furniture. They also make for cool decorations on table tops. So, it’s no wonder why we love this new craft!

For this craft, you will need a glue gun, old newspapers and mod podge, am acid-free glue that seals anything from paintings, pictures, other keepsakes, and your funky coasters.

She starts by rolling a sheet of newspaper, from the bottom right corner, into a long tight roll. She then flattens the rolled-up newspaper by hand. Then, she glues the flattened newspaper roll into a spiral.

With another sheet of newspaper, she flattens it and sticks it onto the previously created spiral, creating a thicker spiral. She completes the step again to thicken spiral even more.

She then grabs the mod podge and pastes it on all sides of the spiral coaster. The mod podge will keep the spiral sealed together. In a couple of simple steps, you can crete a coaster for your favorite wine glass!
