Have you ever heard of 7-up pound cake? Well, neither have I, until now. This cake is so soft and delectable, I won’t be surprised if it becomes your new cheat meal!
She starts by putting salted butter into the bowl, adding butter-flavored shortening, sugar. She then mixes it well together. Then, she adds the eggs one at a time, beating the mixture throughout. After, she adds vanilla extract, lemon extract, lime zest and lemon zest.
Now for the fun stuff. She adds shifted flour and salt. The recipe also calls for heavy cream and of course, 7-up.
Ensure your baking pan is greased and floured then pour in your batter. Bake in a 325-degree oven for one hour and 20 minutes. After baking, she lets the cake cool off and takes it out of the pan.
To complete the delicacy, she makes a glaze by putting some more 7-up in a bowl with powdered sugar and mixes it well. Drizzle the glaze onto the cake and prepare to feast like a queen! Gorgeous, delicious and super easy!
Enjoy! SHARE the love and pass it on.
