A woman from Gadebusch, Germany was out for a leisurely bike ride with her husband when they unknowingly rode into an active boar hunt. Like a scene out of a movie, the two were going on about their business when out of nowhere a stray bullet hit the unnamed 41-year-old woman.
Shockingly, she wasn’t injured because — wait for it — the underwire of her bra protected her against the bullet. See!? I told you it was like a scene from a movie.
The woman is either the luckiest or unluckiest person alive, depending on how you view the story. But regardless of how you look at it, there’s no doubt it is borderline insane that the underwire of a bra managed to save someone’s life.

Apparently the woman only suffered a bruise, but according to NBC News, PETA plans on using the accident as a way to show some of the unintended evils of hunting.
Vanèssa Reithinger of PETA said in a statement that “The incident in Gadebusch shows once again: that when there is hunting, there is danger for every living thing nearby — whether human or animal.”
The incident is being investigated by local law enforcement to ensure there was no negligence or foul play. Regardless of their findings, let this be a reminder to throw out all of your bras that don’t have underwire. A girl can apparently never be too careful.
