The World Cup isn’t for another three years, but this house cat is gunning for that number one spot. You might think of dogs as the more athletic type of house pet, but this cat (named Stan) proves that felines are just as energetic as their canine counterparts.

It looks like Stan just wanted to play, but there’s almost a competitive tone to his rambunctiousness. I’m sure if he had opposable thumbs, he’d be wagging his fingers in the face of his humans.

Stan also shows off some impressive vertical jumping skills and paw-eye coordination. Just three more summers until the 2018 World Cup in Russia. If Stan hits the gym and puts on a few more feet in height, he just might make it!
