Imagine being a gorgeous, healthy, 27-year-old NFL cheerleader. Then imagine stepping out of the shower one day and have your entire world turned upside down. That’s what happened to Tessa David one year ago.
After taking a shower one day, her arm went numb and she had a searing headache. Next thing she knew, she woke up in the ICU of an Indianapolis hospital, surrounded by her family. She had suffered a severe stroke, losing 60% of her brain function.
Now, Tessa has to relearn how to talk, read, write and even how to do simple math. But her resolve and inner strength is what has her on the road to recovery. With the support of her family and fellow Colts cheerleaders, she’s already showing signs of recovery.
We’re cheering for you, Tessa!
