Virsaviya Borun is the most amazing little girl I have ever witnessed. At only six years old, she plays, sings, dances, has learned several different languages, and is truly, purely lovely just like any other little girl. But the most fantastical part of her is not how much this little girl is able to get done in a day, but that she does it all with an organ growth dysfunction called thoracoabdominal syndrome.

This very rare disease can cause some of its patients’ organs to develop physically outside of their body. In her case, her heart. 

Six-year-old Virsaviya from Australia has her heart located only just barely underneath the thin layers of skin in the center of her stomach, instead of hidden away and protected behind her left ribcage. 

This means, the active Virsaviya is also very brave, because any kind of fall on her front side during dancing, could have devastating consequences for her. But this girl has decided that her life is her own and she is going to live it! No matter what. So she spends every day singing and dancing her heart out, figuratively.

Every physician or specialist that Virsaviya’s mom has sought out has refused to do the surgery because of the inherent risks involved in Virsaviya’s condition, with her heart already in such a delicate place.

So Virsaviya’s mom has set up a YouCaring Compassionate Crowdfunding account to help raise the money to cover Virsaviya’s medical expenses, that, even without the surgery, won’t go away, and will only increase with time.
