We’ve all heard about twins and their sixth-sense connection. It’s a hard thing to study in the lab, so there isn’t a whole lot of scientific data on it, but there sure are a alot of anecdotal stories that show that there just might be something real to this whole twin-bond thing, that we just don’t understand yet. If we had to wager a guess, we’d say it probably has something to do with the combination of the shared genetics, growing up in the same environment, experiencing almost all the same life events throughout development, and learning to read body-language, verbal communication, appropriate eye contact, and joint attention, right alongside each other. Or maybe there’s just some kind of psychic neural energy that we haven’t developed the technology to prove yet, that really is creating this near psychic connection between twins.

Well, we could hypothesize about the cause for days, but it’s much more fun to give up trying to understand it, and just enjoy the phenomenon by watching this video that a mom posted of her twin boys talking to each other, without saying a single word! And it’s nearly a two-minute communication to boot! We are truly amazed. And so was mom, because she couldn’t help, but sit, record, and laugh joyfully to herself as she viewed her two identical twins conversing completely nonverbally, but in a totally functional way.

The identical twins in the recording are dressed exactly alike, and from the start, have each other’s rapt attention. My favorite part is their unbreakable eye contact throughout the entire conversation. Their screeches and baby babble, though meaningless to us, obviously have great meaning to them, because the convo continues with hardly a pause, after each child’s reply.
