A good croissant is hard to find. For one to turn a butter-based dough into a pastry that’s simultaneously soft and flaky, shatter-crisp and mouth-meltingly tender, is a difficult task. With such a pure flavor, the quality of those ingredients and the skill of the pastry chef is critical. And we do not want to talk about what happens when that combination goes wrong. I enjoy croissants for breakfast. It is so perfect that when it is matched with fruit and cream cheese, it becomes divine. Here is the Blueberry Croissant Puff recipe. It is one-of-a-kind!
You will need 3 croissants cut into pieces, 8-ounce cream cheese, 2/3 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup milk, and 8 ounces of blueberries.
First preheat the oven to 350°F. Put the pieces of the croissants into a 9-inch square pan. Next, in a medium size bowl put the cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla and mix well together. While mixing, moderately pour in the milk.
Sprinkle the blueberries over the pan filled with croissant pieces. Ensure they are evenly distributed. Then, pour the cream cheese mixture over the croissants and bake for 40 minutes. Cover the pan with foil and cook for 10 more minutes.
Remove from the heat and enjoy!
SHARE the love and pass it on.
