If you do not believe that miracles do happen, here is proof positive. The parents of Paisley Hatfield are chalking a new turn of events up to a divine intervention. Just a couple of days ago, they thought their daughter Paisley was going to die. Since she was born, the Hatfields noticed a little droop on the left side of her face.
Mom said, “We noticed her eye. When she would cry, her eye would not shut all the way.” Carissa Hatfield continued, “It would stay open, and when she started to smile, the same side of her mouth would not move.”
Then a pediatrician suggested they get a scan. That is when they got the news that no parent wants to hear. Doctors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Liberty Township found some kind of mass near the base of the Paisley’s brain. Immediately Paisley was scheduled for a biopsy at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Avondale. The Hatfield everyone across the country to pray for their little girl.
“As soon as he came in, he sat down, he was just shaking his head,” Carissa said. “He said, ‘Your prayers must have worked, because when I went in to get that biopsy,’ he said, ‘nothing was there.’”
A statement released by the hospital said that, “Doctors at Children’s had expected the worst – a malignant tumor. But when surgeons reached the spot where the suspected tumor was visible on the scan, they found nothing. They couldn’t have been happier to tell the good news to the Hatfield family.”
Many thought that the equipment was not working, but this is a reminder that God is real.
