I would imagine the one singer that could cover a song just as great as the original artist would be Celine Dion. And she proved just how accurate that is with her cover of Adele’s hit ‘Hello.’ Wanting to include Adele in her New Year’s celebration, the artist belted the most amazing cover.

Celine Dion had a big surprise for her audience at the Colosseum in Las Vegas during her show. “So tonight, if I may, I would like Adele to be part of our New Year’s Eve,” Celine said. “So don’t panic, she’s not in the building… do we need to change the battery in my microphone? It kind of lost it a bit. Adele, hello? Hello?”

The special rendition includes the Grammy Award-winning artist singing the first verse of the song and the first chorus before doing some ad-libbing. Her powerful voice gives you chills with each note.

Dion currently has a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, which ran from 2011 to 2014. She then took some time off in 2014 due to her husband’s health and resumed her shows in August of 2015. Dion also revealed last October that she has begun work on a new French album.
