60-year-old Dr. Bill Christoph was a successful orthopedic surgeon and a father of two thriving sons. When they joined the military he was as proud as any other patriotic father could be. But when he received a letter of condolences from Majgen L.D. Nicholson informing him his son was killed by an IED in Afghanistan, his whole world turned upside down.

Instead of simply mourning the death of his son, Dr. Christoph did something no other father has done before. During a meeting of solidarity with George W. Bush, he asks the President for a favor, to give him permission to sign a age waiver so that he can join the military and finish what his son had started.
