Glenn Buratti was ready to celebrate his 6th birthday with all his friends and family, but his party didn’t go as he hoped.
He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his classmates when the heartbreaking reality set in. No one was coming.
He has mild epilepsy and autism, but that doesn’t make him any different from the 16 children in his class that didn’t show up.
His mother, Ashlee, then reached out to her community through social media. She posted on a local Facebook group saying, “I know this might be something silly to rant about, but my heart is breaking for my son. We invited his whole class (16 kids) over for his 6th birthday party today. Not one kid came.”
After Ashlee posted on Facebook, 15 kids and their parents came to celebrate with Glenn. But, that’s not all!
Firefighters and police officers started pulling up to Glenn’s house to save the day!
He was given the star treatment that every 6 year old deserves on his birthday!
They even brought him a few birthday presents to open!
This birthday party turned into the most memorable experience for little Glenn!
We often hear of the sad news spread throughout social media, but every once in a while a story like this comes along to change our perspective of the influence of the Internet. Sometimes all you need to do to is ask for a little help!
