Louis Demetriades is 75 years old, but he’s about to prove to us all that you can never be too old for love! Driving all the way from Memphis, Tennessee to Fort Smith, Arkansas, Louis is about to give his ex-wife of 43 years the surprise of a lifetime.

Renate Stumpf, also 75 years old, was beyond shocked when she turned around one day at work. Behind her stood her former husband holding a sign that read,  “Happy Valentine’s Day! Will you marry me?!” 

The couple first met when they were only 18 years old. They were quickly married and had 3 children of their own. But after 13 years, they parted ways, each finding new spouses. With the recent death of both of their significant others, apparently the two have decided to give their marriage another try. According to Renate, “the love has never passed.”
