If you were to hear a story about Timmy getting stuck in a well, you may immediately think of the poor little boy from “Lassie.” In this case, there’s a twist to the story.
Timmy is a 6-week-old German Shepard mix that got himself trapped in an eight-inch wide, 50-foot deep pipe and had no way of getting out. His owner, 12-year-old Theresa Holguin, wasn’t sure how it happened. They called the fire department and the firefighters went to work to rescue the poor pup.
The first responders made a lasso out of rope to coax the scared puppy into stepping on it, so they could pull him up to safety. The first attempt almost succeeded in saving the sweet puppy, but the little guy fell back down again.
After some time and patience, the firefighters were finally able to get the dog up and back into his owners thankful arms. This rescue story ended with a smile for his young owner, and we can’t help but smile along with her!
