There are very few foods in this world that would be complete without some sort of whipped cream. Apple pie, hot chocolate, strawberries, Frappuccinos – I could ramble on for days about what whipped cream goes perfectly with.
I don’t know if it’s the ‘whipped’ texture or the satisfying flavor, but topping a sweet treat with whipped cream makes it 100 times better. Throw a dollop on your coffee in the morning, add a little to your fruit for the perfect afternoon snack or treat yourself to a spoonful right out of the can — no matter how you enjoy whipped cream, it’s safe to say this topping has become an American staple.
But did you know it’s actually quite easy to make? I always thought there was some secret technique to making the perfect whipped texture, but this video proved me wrong.
The guy in this video shows us that all you need is three ingredients, one mason jar and about 45 seconds. He loads up a mason jar with heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract and powdered sugar and closes the lid.
Then he shakes it for 45 seconds. After he’s done shaking he scoops out a spoonful and voila! Whipped cream!
