Some of us are really busy during the week and we want to cook dinner, but sometimes we feel like there is just not enough time. Well, If you are looking for a quick, delicious and hearty meal, then we have just the one, Ground Beef Macaroni and Cheese Casserole!
It only takes about forty five minutes to make and most of the ingredients are probably already in your kitchen. This dish is ideal for those of you whom are looking for something simple to cook when you are pushed for time or if you are just beginning to start cooking and you are still pretty inexperienced.
First you’ll sauté one medium chopped onion in about 1 tbsp of olive oil. Next, add in two pounds ground beef and cook until it is brown. Add in some salt, pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, 1 chopped bell pepper, and 3-4 freshly chopped garlic cloves. Mix it all into the meat and cook until the meat is fully done. Add in a 24oz jar of tomato sauce and then boil 1 pound of macaroni noodles. If you don’t have or eat macaroni, that’s fine. You can also substitute the macaroni for another pasta such as penne.
When the noodles are done. combine the meat, sauce, and noodles and pour them into a baking pan. Cover the mixture with 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese and 6-8 Slices of american cheese. Bake the dish in the oven for 30 minutes until the cheese has completely melted and that’s it.
