Every dog deserves a chance at a happy life but sadly, not all dogs are given one.
Chester was living out his years as a shelter dog when suddenly it seemed as though his years were coming to a close end.
The once playful pup had aged a few years and was suffering from cancer.
When Nicole Elliot of Columbus, Georgia saw a post looking for hospice care for the dog, she knew she was the right person for the job.
“I had to consider it for a while and decide if I could handle it. I decided it would be an amazing experience to take on” Nicole stated, “I knew that it would be my responsibility to make his final days the best I could.”
The moment she first saw Chester she fell in love. Can you blame her? He’s adorable!
Chester had a spa day where he got a nice haircut … he almost looks like a puppy again!
“I am trying to give him normal doggy experiences that he never have never had the chance to do before, and a ton of spoiling.”
“So far he took a ride with the windows down, he had a famous Nathans hot dog, he had a doggie sundae, he had a milk and oatmeal bath (spa day), he went on a shopping spree where he got a cozy bed, bandanas, lots of treats and toys.”
Nicole says that he has a huge appetite and is loving all of the treats!
Paisley, Nicole’s daughter, also loves Chester!
“It will be so tough to lose him shortly, so I decided to take the time he has left and make it as happy as I can.” Chester is lucky to have Nicole in his life and I’m sure that his last days will be some of his best.
