As my kids get older, more and more toys find their way to the junk bucket. Whether it’s due to G.I. Joe’s missing arm, an ambulance siren that no longer howls or a new and improved superhero that’s hit the market, the boys outgrow their toys and action figures faster than I know what to do with them!
Call me sentimental, but I hate just trashing the old figurines. I find a special memory attached to each and every one. I just can’t seem to let them go! So imagine my excitement when I came across this tutorial that discourages throwing out old toys and, instead, using them to create something brand new!
This cheap project takes all of your kids’ old toys and transforms them into a super cool lamp, the perfect accessory for your child’s bedside table or dresser!
Simply remove the shade from an old lamp, assemble your figurines and glue them to your aesthetic pleasing. After you complete the first steps, spray paint your sculpture until none of the original colors show. Return the bulb and shade to their respective places, pull the cord and see your masterpiece shine!
I know my kids are going to love this! I’m going to try a version more suited for my daughter using Barbies and crayons!
SHARE the love and pass it on!
