Do you remember what you were doing at 19-months-old? My guess would be, no. When you’re that young your responsibilities in life include: looking cute, eating and sleeping … and that’s about it.

But the adorable little guy in this video goes above and beyond what most 19-months-old can do. At this ripe young age, this little tot can already read and count to 50.

In this video he’s going through a deck of cards that each have one word on them. He looks at the word, then looks up at mom, and reads the word out loud! When I first saw this I thought maybe he had just memorized the order of cards in the deck, but at one point he gets the cards mixed up and has to shuffle them around.

Even after shuffling the cards around he was still able to read them! It’s truly remarkable what this intelligent 19-month-old can do. He can read basic words and say them out loud — it’s amazing what the human brain is capable of!
