It was a day just like any other for this group of friends. They decided to take their tiny rowboat off the coast of Anderson Island, Washington to go crabbing. While out on the water they expected to maybe catch a few crabs and have some laughs, but they certainly weren’t expecting any life-changing moments.

Turns out, they didn’t end up catching one single crab but they did witness something that changed their lives forever. They were sitting in their tiny rowboat when they spotted a pod of baby orcas playing off in the distance.

The baby orcas were jumping out of the water, then diving back in. As they continued to watch these whales play, they noticed that they were starting to get a little too close for comfort.

As they contemplated rowing back to shore, the baby orcas swam right up to their boat! Naturally, the boys start freaking out. The baby orcas surround their boat and start playing right underneath it!

I think it’s safe to say that this experience was equal parts awesome and terrifying. But luckily, they caught it all on film!
