What could be more tragic than finding out the baby in your womb has a high chance of dying? That’s the news these parents heard when they were expecting their baby girl, Abigail. Now they want the world to see and always remember how truly special their beautiful baby is through unbelievably beautiful photography.
Abigail was weeks ago to parents Ericka and Stephen Jones, who couldn’t have been more overjoyed. The beauty and fascination of these powerful photos hide a daunting reality for the princess and her family—she is unlikely to see her first birthday.
Abigail was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome when her mom Ericka was 18 weeks pregnant. Also, doctors made an alarming discovery when her mother, a nurse, went for her 30-week scan. They discovered she had an inoperable brain tumor.

Both parents knew there was a very good chance that their unborn baby would not be born alive after a subsequent MRI scan had found nothing that could be done to treat the tumor because of it’s aggression.
But that did not interrupt their celebration for Abigail’s life. They welcomed her into this world on August 6 and have spent every day cherishing her arrival.

Mom said, “The neurosurgeon recommended we take Abigail home and cover her with love. We have smothered this one with love and kisses and will continue to do so every moment we get.
Despite their heartache, the family is eager to share their experience in hopes it will help others.
