As parents find joy in expanding their families, some of their children do not share the same sentiment. When most children hear the news of an addition to the family, usually it is a time to celebrate. But for one adorable little girl that wasn’t the case.

When her mother returned from shopping with a can of blue paint for her unborn son’s room, she decided to drop a few hints to her unsuspecting daughter.

Mom asks, “Do you know why I bought blue paint?” she teased the little girl who simply replied, “Maybe the baby likes blue or something?” Then the mother drops the bombshell. When this little girl learns that she’s getting another baby brother, she’s not having it.  “I don’t want that!” she yelled after her mom revealed the news. Before throwing an epic but adorable tantrum, the little girl sadly confesses that she “wanted a girl.” And what girl would not want a little makeup buddy?

Mom is clearly amused while the little girl breaks down into hysterical crying, shortly followed by her brother who also burst into tears at the announcement. Mom’s response to her little ones, “Can we just love it anyway?”

Despite the disappointment now, this little girl looks like she would be a great big sister.
