While 9-year-old Nolan Rogers was out exploring the woods near Lake Murray, he happened to stumble upon something you usually only see in love stories or fairytales: a REAL LIFE message in a bottle.  

The 45-year-old letter was rolled tightly and stuffed into a Dr. Pepper bottle. When Nolan showed his mother the discovery, she surprisingly enough recognized the handwriting. The letter did indeed belong to someone she knew, her longtime friend Diane.

To make the story even more shocking, Diane had actually written the letter years before to Nolan’s grandfather, her former lover!

What an incredible connection! Just goes to show what a small world it truly is!
