Wedding days are a whirlwind of stress, family, friends, joy and beauty. It might be very hard to keep details away from your spouse, but brides are able to. Whether it’s a secret love note or a guitar rendition of a favorite song, couples have really stepped up their romance game and surprised their loved ones with some of the cutest gestures.

For Kristin’s wedding day, the wedding venue was reserved, the seating arrangements were all locked in, the menu was solidified and accounted for, the wedding photographer was hired along with the wedding band, the wedding dress was bought, and everything was set to go. But this bride and groom duo were having a little bit of trouble figuring out what song to play for their first dance. Kristin’s favorite song, “Grow Old With You,” was immediately shot down by the husband to be because he thought the Adam Sandler song was just “too silly” for such a special dance.

Kristin backed down, but figured out another way to get what she wanted. Unbeknownst to the groom, she spent three months learning to play the guitar and just in time for her special day she dropped the surprise on her new husband. At first he doesn’t even seem to believe her, but finally he starts laughing and clapping in excitement.

Her performance was amazingly sweet, meaningful and quite funny. We are sure that her new husband loved the gift.
