Cake decorating is one of those overlooked culinary arts. Although the sight of a beautifully decorated cake delights almost everyone, most people are not aware of the intricacies. Most of us (or me) are just concerned about the right time to dive in. But if you like to partake in the art form, you will enjoy this gorgeous chocolate decoration, bubble wrap chocolate cake!
First, get the chocolate of your choice, and break up into small pieces. Put in a microwaveable bowl, and microwave on medium power for a minute. Take the bowl out, and stir around with a spatula. Microwave for another minute and stir again helping to soften the chocolate. Microwave yet again for one more minute
Measure a clean piece of bubble wrap around your desired cake to ensure a seamless fit. Lay the bubble wrap on a flat surface and paste the melted chocolate across the wrap ensuring it is smooth and even.
Let the chocolate dry for 10 minutes at room temperature before transferring to the cake. Wrap the bubble wrap around the cake ensuring it is smooth. Chill for 10 minutes before carefully removing the bubble wrap. Complete with desired toppings.
