His name is Joel Burger. Her name is Ashley King. Together, the now engaged couple make for one epic duo – the Burger-Kings.

For these two, tradition is a thing of the past. While normally the woman’s name appears first in the engagement announcement, this couple enthusiastically decided to flip the order. I mean, King-Burger doesn’t have the same ring now does it?!

The long-time couple was fully aware of the countless number of puns accompanying their newly formed name.

However, when Joel and Ashley finally got engaged, the announcement hit the press with full-fledged wittiness.

News of the engagement travelled fast, but no one jumped on this story faster than the fast food giant themselves.

When Burger King was finally able to get a hold of Joel and Ashley, they set up a time to chat. Through Skype, Burger King (the restaurant chain) excitedly congratulated the happy couple, but that wasn’t the only reason for their call.

Wanting to help celebrate the Burger-King’s upcoming marriage, Burger King Corporation decided to give the pair the best wedding gift imaginable. They offered to cover the total cost of the wedding!
