A crowd-pleasing performance took place at Las Vegas’s MGM Grand for the 46th Academy of Country Music Awards. Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, known for tragically losing her arm in a shark attack, and the star from the movie Soul Surfer who plays Hamilton in the film, Ana Sophia Robb introduced the talented Carrie Underwood to perform one of her most popular hits.

Boasting rocker-esque leather attire, complete with leather tassels and rhinestones hanging from her microphone, Underwood made her show stopping entrance, bringing the crowd to their feet. Carrie entertained the crowd with her celebrated hit, “Undo It.” Just as things really got going, and much to the already admiring audience’s surprise, the legendary rock star Steven Tyler of Aerosmith makes his entrance to perform alongside Carrie. Needless to say, the audience goes wild!

Arriving in signature Steven Tyler fashion, the rocker was dressed in a white, fringed trench coat, likewise accessorizing his microphone with his ever-characteristic feathers.

Carrie and Steven are both no strangers to a crowd pleasing and resounding vocal belt, which made for an exciting performance. The audience at the MGM Grand appeared to be amused during this performance, but ultimately entertained. The performance soon progressed into a version of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way,” which is certainly part of Steven’s wheelhouse. Carrie, no stranger to a country/rock genre, contributed to the performance fittingly. During the lyric “so give me a kiss…” Steven coyly tried to snatch a kiss from Carrie on a few occasions, adding to the fun and flirtatious manner of the performance. The crowd was very enthusiastic and you could sense a bit of nostalgia while both of the rock/country superstars rocked out. A performance unlike any other, Carrie and Steven seemed to be meant to perform together, am I right?
