How To Make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Roses

Ashley Rego

What’s better than receiving a gorgeous bouquet of lush, vibrant roses? How about an entire lavish bouquet of roses made of scrumptious chocolate?!

The culinary mastermind Ann of YouTube channel, How To Cook That, teaches how to create these beautiful little floral decadencies, and while they do require a bit of effort, its surprisingly not as hard as it looks.

First you’ll need to make (or purchase) some modeling chocolate. This type of chocolate is necessary as it has a pliable texture, making it much easier to mold and manipulate into your fauna-inspired candies. Follow along Ann’s step-by-step instructions to recreate the perfect petal-like forms.

These sweet roses aren’t made completely out of chocolate; the bulk of the rosebuds are actually crafted from big, juicy strawberries! By dousing these strawberries in a layer of melted white chocolate, you provide a sticky adhesive to attach those already created chocolate petals.

Once you’ve constructed a dozen, arrange them together with a bit of cellophane wrap and a charming bow and voila! You’ve got yourself a tasty bouquet of chocolate covered strawberry roses, perfect for any occasion!
