Winter is here and we can all look forward to those snowy days. The ones where white covers everything. If you happen to be running late for work in the morning, the last thing you want to see is a car with completely frosted-over windows.

Driving with ice on your windshield is unsafe for you and other drivers, and scraping it off with an ordinary ice scraper takes valuable time, can even scratch the glass, or god-forbid, too hard to scrape off. Luckily, these aren’t your only options to de-ice your windows.

Youtube channel Day by Day shows us how with a mixture of 2/3 rubbing alcohol, and 1/3 water. She pours the mixture into a spray bottle and demonstrates on her car. The ice on the car is hard, and she sprays some of the mixture onto the glass.

The results are instantaneous. It is both quick and easy.

In the description, she wrote, “This also works on walkways, I had to use this last year when stores ran out of salt for the driveway, I used 1/2 gal containers mixed with 2/3 alcohol and 1/3 water with a tablespoon of dish soap.

I think this invention is a gold mine.
