Cockatoos, a type of parrot, are well-known for their ability to mimic human speech, but did you know they are also fabulous dancers? Or at least this one is.

Louie the Cockatoo is the most talented dancer you will see all day, and that includes any of you who might be going out to the club tonight. For that matter, if you are planning on turning up this evening, start by watching this video. This lovable dancing parrot had me smiling and wanting to jump up from the couch and start boogieing before I’d even had my morning coffee.

With his self-confident little strut and his expressive white Mohawk, Louie the Cockatoo is the cutest guy you will see all day. Apparently, his favorite thing to do is groove to some tunes, and in this video, you can see him capering around the kitchen counter — and doing the best 70’s era “Chicken Dance” move I have ever seen.

You’ll find yourself sliding along with him as he rocks out to the beat of some good old fashioned Peaches and Herb disco. “Shake your groove thing, shake your groove thing, yeah yeah!” the song commands, and if there is anything Louie knows how to do, it’s shake it. In fact, I’m a bit ashamed to admit, he’s got more rhythm than I do.
