“I feel a lot of responsibility to show people you can turn anything into a positive,” Drew stuttered into the microphone before the judges.
It was four years ago when Drew experienced a severe sport injury that left him vocally impaired. While on the baseball field during a softball game, a grounder took a bad hop and hit him directly in the throat. He has since had a stutter in his voice.
Today, he’s on stage before the judges on America’s Got Talent, fearlessly ready to tell his story and share with the world his talent — comedy.
Rather than letting his impairment get the best of him, Drew turned his frustration into a positive, ultimately turning to comedy for relief.
The moment Drew announces his talent, the judges are skeptical — but boy, are they in for quite a treat!
Watch as he protrudes humor on stage, roughly but surely. The judges are in hysterics and the moment you hear one of his jokes, you will be too.
The accident didn’t discourage Drew, but rather, inspired him to achieve greatness despite his impairment.
