When a passer-by noticed a small toddler dangling from a second story ledge, unsure of what to do, he began shouting for help.
That’s when a construction worker from a nearby worksite immediately rushed to the scene of distress. Without hesitation, as we witness in the video below, the man pulls himself onto the balcony to grab the 3-year-old.
It looks as if the girl’s head is wedged in the railing, as her legs hang perilously in the air. The construction worker pushes the child upward to relieve the tension on her neck. While the video cuts short, it has been reported that the girl was successfully returned to safety thanks to this man’s help, minutes before firefighters even arrived at the scene.
Due to his brave act of heroism, the seen construction worker will be given a Public Spiritedness Award from The Singapore Civil Defence Force, Channel News Asia reports, and we think it’s very well deserved!
