Robert Wood was traveling from Alaska to Eugene with his pregnant wife and two sons. The family had no place to stay and decided to spend the night in their car.

The park that they parked their car in closed at 11pm so they weren’t surprised when they heard a knock on their window during the night.

Police officer David Natt had spotted them sleeping in their car and instead of telling them to move along and sending them on their way, he put them up in a hotel for two nights so the family could get the proper rest they needed. The family was so grateful for his kindness and thankful for the kind people like him policing the streets.
