Crab-Filled Crescent Wontons Are Not Only In Your Wildest Dreams! Get The Recipe Here!

These crab-filled crescent wontons will have the guests at your next dinner party eating out of your hand.

Adapted from the Pillsbury website and presented by Krista’s Kitchen, these bite-sized treats are immaculate. To make them yourself, you will need 1-8 ounce tube crescent roll dough, 3 ounces of cream cheese, softened, ¼ cup mayonnaise, ¾ cup cooked crabmeat, chopped, 2 green onions, chopped, 1/8 – ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper with salt and pepper, to taste.

There’s a little work that goes into making these wontons, but like all life lessons, it will all be worth it in the end…

First, preheat oven to 375°F. Prepare your cookie sheet by spraying nonstick cooking spray. Then unroll the Pillsbury dough on a clean surface, and pinch the seams to seal. Use a rolling pin to roll out and create an even rectangle. Next cut into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.

In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, crabmeat, onion, and red pepper well. Add salt and pepper to your discretion. Divide the yummy crab mixture into even squares, using a spoon. This step requires some preciseness so ensure they are ½ inch from 1 corner of each square.

Starting with the same corner, fold dough over filling, and tuck end tightly underneath filling. Continue rolling to within ½ inch of opposite corner. Roll opposite corner of dough over the roll, and press to seal.

Place on cookie sheet. Brush with egg white, but that is optional, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and serve warm.
