Few things in this world feel better than saving money. But what’s even better than saving money is saving money by reusing items you already have in your kitchen!
More often than not we’ll throw something out because we think we’re done with it and that it has served its purpose. Turns out we can get a LOT more use out of things than we think! In this video Martha Santos, an AOL Contributor shows us how to get use out of items we would normally just toss in the garbage.
The first thing she shows us is how to turn mesh produce bags into something we could all use – scrub sponges! Turning these mesh bags into scrub sponges is much easier than you might think and can save you a few bucks.
Next, she shows us how to get the most out of a plastic bottle, this might be my favorite one yet! To get rid of those annoying fruit flies lingering around your kitchen all you have to do is take a plastic bottle and cut it in half.
Fill the bottom part of the bottle with sugar water. Then take the top part, turn it upside down and place it on top of the bottle. Flies will be attracted to the sugar water and fly into the bottle, but won’t be able to fly out.
Now that’s something I definitely want to start keeping in my kitchen! What did you think of these tips? Please watch and SHARE!
