Pineapple is one of the greatest fruits of all time. While there’s so much you can do with it, from scrumptious fruit salads to delicious cocktails, it’s absolutely fabulous on its own. The only problem is that pineapples are so ridiculously hard to cut into.
If they weren’t so delicious, we’d say it’s not worth it — but you and I both know that’s the case. The good news, however, is that the days of fighting to cut into our favorite fruit are over. From now on pineapple eating will be smooth sailing, thanks to these tips!
While most people cut off the top of the pineapple when attempting to cut into it, the video claims that approach is incorrect.
Instead, simply cut the pineapple in half (longways) and then in half again. This will leave you with four quarters of the pineapple, each with a portion of the leafy green top attached. Then, take a serrated knife, remove the core, and slice between the meat and the skin. After that, you’ll be able to slice and serve your pineapple however you wish!
We’re fairly positive this video will prevent lots of pineapple kitchen accidents and are so happy to finally have an easy (and safe) way to cut into our favorite fruit!
