Sometimes, it’s those boring days when you have absolutely nothing to do that you come up with the greatest ideas. This guy was having one of those days when his creative-brain kicked in and he decided to cut a watermelon … with a sword! Sound crazy? Yeah, we thought so too until we saw the entire thing his wife captured on film. Get ready for one great idea turned pure entertainment!

He approaches the not-so-threatening watermelon with Samurai sword in hand. He doesn’t tell us exactly what he’s about to do but we can expect something we’ve never seen before.

It’s clear that even his spectators are put-back by what he’s about to do with their weary comments.

Slowly he pulls out the sword from it’s sheath and holds the sword in the air like a mighty warrior getting ready to go to battle — a battle against a watermelon. Before he swipes the watermelon to it’s death, he brings the sword down gently marking where he will cut the watermelon in half.

Then, he brings up the sword and right when you expect him to slice it … he doesn’t. He just brings the sword back down again, even slower this time. He repeats this not once, but twice.

Finally on the third time, he brings down the sword with a mighty swing. Did you expect the watermelon to break? Nope! Instead the glass table that the watermelon was on shattered into tiny pieces while the watermelon rolled off the table still completely intact. The watermelon is victorious!

Looks like this warrior with his mighty sword was just defeated and ruined his wife’s table while he was at it. Wah-wah.
