Dad Ditches His Wheelchair To Walk His Daughter Down The Aisle

It is the delight of most dads—to walk their little princess down the aisle on that big day, and when your dad has had to overcome the most trying of circumstances, every ounce of effort means the world. Not even sickness or stumbling could stop this dad. Watch this tear-jerking moment as a father gets up from his wheelchair to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.

A leukemia survivor who spends most of his time in a wheelchair has defied unsurmountable odds by accomplishing this feat. While making steps to walk with his daughter, Ralph Duquette seemed to have little strength. But after being helped out of his wheelchair, he did just that.

His progress was due to the many physical therapists over the summer to gain the strength to walk Heather down the aisle. According to WCSH-TV, Heather said that her father performed the ceremony and gave her away. The two also danced together for their father-daughter dance.

I am sure Dad basked in his ability to perform his task. Although he stumbled a little, his duty as a Dad was exceptional.
