School is here, and in addition to school supplies every student needs a desk- a fabulous desk, that is. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. Desks are necessary to create a productive, supportive and educational environment for students to complete homework or study. A desk with style just adds to its greatness.
Instead using the couch in front of the television, or the bed a desk in a quiet place, provides that structure. If your kids have a desk but are screaming for newer one, don’t spend on the costly item, make it over!
One Reddit user has the best design for us do-it-yourselfers. All you need is napkins, decoupage base and top coat, sandpaper and a paint brush. The best part is all of these items can be purchased at your local dollar store. Cute and cheap? Yes, please!

You can test how you want the napkins to look—whether you want a one or two ply look by peeling away the layers. Once that was determined, she applied the topcoat and let it dry thoroughly. Then she used sandpaper on the corners to make it easy to tear away the overhanging materials.

I like this project because you can change up the look every month, if you are like me!
