We’ve all heard the saying, “dogs are a man’s best friend.” Well, this story couldn’t be better proof!

When Nancy Franck was hospitalized due to complications from a surgery, she knew (or thought she knew) that it would be quite some time till she would be able to return home and see her dogs again.

But one of her loyal pups had other plans in mind. Little Sissy, Nancy’s adorable miniature schnauzer, had had enough of the distance and decided it was time to see her mom. The tiny dog ran away from home and traveled 20 blocks to the hospital, walking straight through the lobby doors, ready to find her owner.

The security guard was shocked to see this 4-legged creature wondering around the Medical Center, clearly on a mission. But he quickly reunited Sissy and Nancy, and the recovering woman couldn’t have been more excited! With the help of Sissy’s incredible journey, Nancy will reportedly be released from the hospital very soon!
