Bleach pens are a staple at my house. I don’t think I do a single load of laundry without using it on at least ONE item of clothing!
Each pen costs at least $3 and after a while, all that bleaching really starts to add up!
Did you know that you can make your OWN bleach pens for a fraction of what it costs to buy them? If you have kids who insist on wearing white shirts on spaghetti night than this is exactly what you need!
The directions only require a few ingredients to make your own bleach pens and you probably already have everything you’ll need! So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of water
3 tablespoons of cornstarch
4-7 tablespoons of bleach
Directions:
Heat water and cornstarch in a saucepan over high heat. Stir continuously until your mixture is thick and gel-like. Let your mixture cool and depending on how strong you want your bleach pen to be, add 4-7 tablespoons. Stir your mixture until well combined and store in a small plastic squeeze tube.
These work just as well as the store bought pens but only cost pennies to make! Your friends are going to want to know this trick so make sure you SHARE the love and pass it on!
