She’s Making a DIY Fabric Chandelier From Scratch and The Results Are Stunning!

Chandeliers are a great addition to just about any room, but knowing what size is best and how high to hang the decor can be tricky. Chandeliers have an ability to create an ambiance unlike any other decorative piece, so naturally we wanted to share some fabulous ideas with you this holiday season. Here are some incredible DIY chandeliers that the whole family can help to make.

We often think of chandeliers as a branched, decorative lighting fixture that holds a number of bulbs or candles and is suspended from a ceiling, and it is. But some of these creative DIY chandeliers take a slightly different approach.

The first project is a brass chandelier. To complete this one, you will need pipes and bulbs. One of my favorites is the hanging flower chandelier. To make, you will need to attach hanging flowers onto a ring. It is absolutely beautiful. There is the whirly candle chandelier that is perfect for romantic dinners and the clever paint swatch chandelier. With this one you will need a whole lot of paint swatches (as its name suggests). The yarn and fabric chandeliers are admiringly rustic, and I know exactly which rooms I can put the pipe and industrial chandeliers. The creativity in these ideas is unmatched.

To complete the fabric chandelier from 100 layer cake, you will need a ruler, pencil, scissors, thread, needle, and 3 pieces of fabric. First, measure four inches from the edge, and cut fabric into 4-inch strips.  After which you will cut 4-inches squares and fold them into quarters.

Next, take your needle, thread and scissors, and thread the folded fabric through the center. Now, you will attach each thread of squares to an embroidery hoop. Attach other strips of fabric to the hoop and add some greenery.

This design is perfect for the backyard.

SHARE the love and pass it on.
