Make Grimy Jewelry Sparkle Like New With A Few Things Right From Your Home

Erika Carter

If you’re anything like me, you’re pretty rough on your jewelry. Between typing on a keyboard all day, cooking, cleaning, and working out, I find that I am constantly in need of getting my rings cleaned. Unfortunately, though, I don’t always have the time to run to the jeweler and wait for them to clean my accessories.

Luckily, there is now an alternative.

All you need to do to clean your jewelry at home is to do the following:

Place a large piece of tinfoil in a regular sized bowl, so that the tin foil pretty much covers the bowl. Fill with a teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of baking soda, a cup of hot water, and a teaspoon of dish detergent.

Allow your jewelry to sit in the mixture for ten minutes or so. Then use a toothbrush to clean any small crevices.

And that’s it! It’s safe for all metals, too.

SHARE the love and pass it on!
