Let’s face it: we all need a little bit more organization in our lives. Unfortunately, sometimes organizing comes at a cost. While places like The Container Store make it look so easy, the price you pay for doing so sometimes doesn’t seem worth it.

Who wants to drop $50 on a makeup organizer? Not me, that’s for sure! 

Luckily, Jordan Reilly of Picklee found out a way to make an adorable makeup organizer using things she had around the house! Genius, right? When you see just how her adorable makeup tray turns out, you’ll be eager to make one yourself! 

To get Jordan’s look, do the following:

Step 1: Find two plates (one should be slightly bigger than the other) and a metal tin. Jordan used vintage silver platters for hers, but any plates will work.

Step 2: Using your hot glue gun, apply glue to the outer edge of the can and place it face down in the center of your bigger plate.

Step 3: Place glue to the other side of the can and place your smaller plate on top of it.

Step 4: That’s it! Enjoy your adorable makeup stand — and the added benefits of a more organized bathroom!
