The dictum, one man’s trash is another’s treasure, is most definitely true with this DIY. Taking discarded material and upcycling to create something magical is what DIY is all about and this DIY mosaic table proves just that! 

Reddit user Atodaso took pieces of scraps that were headed for the garbage and turned it into something gorgeous! This beautiful table looks straight out of a magazine.

He used an abandoned display case as the skeleton for his project. He dismantled the case and organized pieces to create a smaller table. He used parts as legs and a frame for his new piece.

He then added other pieces of material to device a sturdier bottom for the table. His cat was very instrumental in the making of the centerpiece; it was used to test the stability of the new structure.

The next step is so clever and incredible. He bought a handful second-hand plates and smashed them all. Why? To create a tiled, mosaic look that was superiorly stunning.

To intensify the look, he added grout for a smooth and even finish, and painted the base black. The result was an expensive and professional look.
